The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) in different operations in the 24 hours till 6:00 am Saturday (August 19) arrested 39 persons for their alleged involvement in selling and consuming drugs.
Being informed, the DMP’s police and detective units conducted the anti-drug campaign in the city’s various areas, seizing drugs and arresting drug sellers and abusers, said a DMP statement.
They seized 4,380 pieces of Yaba tablets, 15.41kg of hemp, 101.5gm of heroin, and 72 bottles of phensedyl from their possessions, the statement said.
According to the statement, a total of 32 cases have been filed against the detained persons under the Narcotics Control Act.
