The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) in different operations in 24 hours till 6:00 am on Monday (August 14) arrested 39 persons for their alleged involvement in selling and consuming drugs.
Being informed, the DMP’s police and detective units conducted the anti-drug campaign in the city’s various areas,
seizing drugs and arresting drug sellers and abusers, said a DMP statement.
They seized 3,650 pieces of Yaba tablets, 72.3kg of hemp, and 54.5gm of heroin from their possessions, the statement said.
According to the statement, a total of 31 cases have been filed against the detained persons under the Narcotics Control Act.
