With the healing of thirty-seven more patients from the Covid-19 on Wednesday, the total recovery count in the division rose to 1,15,418 since the pandemic began in March, 2020.
A total of seven more people have tested positive for the deadly virus in five districts of Rajshahi division on the day, raising the caseload to 1,19,157 so far.
The new positive cases are showing a falling trend compared to the previous day's figure of fifteen said Dr Habibul Ahsan Talukder, divisional director of Health.
The death toll remained static at 1,747, including 705 in Bogura, 341 in Rajshahi with 219 in its city and 179 in Natore, as no new fatality was reported during the last couple of days, he said.
Besides, all the positive cases of Covid-19 have, so far, been brought under necessary treatment while 26,045 were kept in isolation units of different dedicated hospitals for institutional quarantine.
Of them, 22,972 have by now been released. Among the seven new infected cases, two were detected each in Rajshahi city and Natore followed by one each in Joypurhat, Bogura and Sirajganj districts.
With the newly detected patients, the district-wise break-up of the total cases now stands at 33,926 in Rajshahi, including 27,92018 in its city, 6,521 in Chapainawabganj, 7,704 in Naogaon, 9,902 in Natore, 5,670 in Joypurhat, 24,929 in Bogura, 13,744 in Sirajganj and 16,761 in Pabna districts.
A total of 1,24,990 people have, so far, been kept under quarantine since March 10, 2020 to prevent community transmission of the lethal virus.
Of them, 1,24,041 have been released as they were given clearance certificates after completing their quarantine.
