Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has arrested 37 people on charges of selling and consuming drugs during anti-drug operations from different areas of the capital.
Some 4,359 pieces of yaba, 132 grams of heroin, 2.785 kilogram (kg) cannabis and 15 cans of beer were recovered from them, according to a press release issued by DMP Friday.
The press release also said that as part of the regular anti-drug drive of DMP, they were arrested and drugs were recovered from different police stations in the capital from 6 am on Thursday to 6 am today.
A total of 26 cases have been filed against them under the Narcotics Control Act with the concerned police stations.
