About 35% of the people in Jashore have been found to have naturally occurring corona antibodies. This means that 35 percent of people have been infected with the corona virus or came in contact with this virus. This information has come up in a study conducted on about 400 people in three upazilas of Jashore.
This information has come up in a study of the Genome Center of Jashore University of Science and Technology (JUST). The study was conducted using a rapid antibody test with a blood sample from the human body. JUST undertook this type of research to find out the actual rate of corona resistance in the human body as a result of the rise of the corona delta type.
The study found that 36 percent of the family members had naturally occurring antibodies who had corona-positive patients. And in the adjacent house of corona-positive patients found naturally occurring ‘corona antibodies’ in 24 per cent of the people. The percentage of naturally occurring antibodies is lower in urban areas than in rural areas. Vaccine recipients were excluded in this study.
So many people having naturally occurring antibodies proves that there are a lot of people around us without corona symptoms. Overpopulation, indifference to the use of mask and non-compliance with hygiene rules have led to an alarming increase in the number of corona positive people.
About the results of the study JUST Vice-Chancellor and Director of the Genome Center Professor Dr. Md. Anwar Hossain said If we don't get vaccinated, we will have to suffer from this epidemic for a long time. He lauded the government's initiative to provide antibiotics to increase antibodies in the human body and also thanked Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for taking this initiative.
The members of the research team for the identification of 'antibodies' led by Chairman of the Department of Microbiology and Associate Director of the Genome Center. Pro. Dr. Md. Iqbal kabir were Dr. Shirin Nigar Associate Professor of Nutrition and Food Technology, Pipasa Sultana, Suraiya Yasmin, Lakshmi Sarkar, students of the Department of Microbiology and Nowshad Mahmud Choyan, student of the Department of Nutrition and Food Technology.
