The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) in different operations in 24 hours till 6:00 am on Thursday (August 17) arrested 35 people for their alleged involvement in selling and consuming drugs.
On information, the DMP’s police and detective units conducted the anti-drug drive in various areas in the city. During the drive, they seized drugs and arrested the drug sellers and abusers, said a DMP press release.
The law enforcers seized 2,528 pieces of Yaba tablets, 9.600kg hemp, and 105gm 20 puria of heroin from possessions the possession of drug sellers, said the press release.
According to the press release, a total of 28 cases have been filed against the detained persons under the Narcotics Control Act.
