Some 34, 306 children were fed Vitamin P capsule in the day-long National Vitamin A plus campaign on Tuesday, according to Ishwardi Upazila Health Complex. The programme was inaugurated in the morning.
The slogan of this year is “fed children Vitamin, reduce death risks. Ishwardi Upazila Health Complex helped the campaign. It was implemented jointly by Public Nutrition and Health, National Nutrition Service Department, Health and Family Planning Directorate, National Nutrition Services.
The Vitamin A plus campaign was arranged in 168 centres in Ishwardi Upazila. The programme was inaugurated by Dr FA Asma Khan, Upazila health and Family Planning Officer. Here, 4,590 children from 6 to 11 got blue colour capsules and 59 months 29, 716 children got red colour capsules. A orientation programme was arranged in Paban on Dec 10 to make the campaign a success.
