33 more patients died of Coronavirus (COVID-19) infection in the country during the last 24 hours. With this number, the total death toll in Corona stands at 3, 267 and the detection of 2,654 new cases of Coronavirus infection in the country during the same time totalling the number 246,674 so far, informed Professor Dr Nasima Sultana, Additional Director General ( Admin.) of the Department of Health during the routine online briefing on Coronavirus situation in the country on Wednesday (Aug-5).
Dr Nasima Sultana said samples of 11,160 were tested in 82 laboratories during the last 24 -hour. So far samples of 1,212,416 have been tested. She added, a total of 1,890 patients have been recovered from Covid-19 totalling 141,750 recoveries so far.
The Coronavirus was first detected in the country on March 8 this year and the first death in the virus was reported on March 18
