30 trained cooperative members of Sakharidah area in Chandpur union of Harinakundu received vegetables seeds on Sunday morning. Upazila cooperative officer (UCO) in Harinakundu Qamrunnaher distributed 12 species of the seeds after a training session. Organized by Heed Sanchoy O Rindan Samabaya Samity Limited, organization president Jillur Rahman presided over the session, while the UCO was attended as chief guest.
The seeds were distributed aiming at produce necessary vegetable at the fallow lands of the farmers so that they could meet up their family requirements and sale the additional portion against some money.
In her speech during the training, Qamrunnaher said cooperative system is one of the centuries old system of community development that had changed the lot of the under privileged and disadvantaged people. Now the government under the leadership of the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has taken initiatives to strengthen the rural societies to strengthen the socio-economic state of the people with united efforts. Each and everybody should come forward to join there for own interest.
The chief guest had praised the activities of Heed and urged the authorities to throw this sort of activities involving the rural people so that the malnutrition of rural men, women and children could be removed for a better and healthy nation.
