30 lakh jobs will be created for youths by 2025: Palak

State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak said that our Prime Minister has taken initiative to establish 92 hi-tech parks across Bangladesh. As a result, we expect to create 3 million youth jobs by 2025. In this we have 13 crore internet users. Those who are constantly creating various data, sharing it through various social media, using it in the banking sector. To ensure data freedom and security, we are going to enact the Digital Data Security Act. As a result, government information, state information, citizen information, organization information can be kept in Bangladesh. As a result, foreign companies cannot use any data without our consent. He said this in response to questions from journalists after the official inauguration of Bangladesh Technocity Limited and Felicity IDC Limited at Bangabandhu Hi-Tech City in Gazipur Kaliakore on Sunday morning (July 31) and an exchange of views with investors in Bangabandhu Hi-Tech City. He also said that in the last 13 years, under the leadership of the Prime Minister, we are moving step by step from a labor-based economy to a technology-based, talent-based digital economy. At this moment our 20 lakh youths who are in financing, software, hardware artists are working as the life force of our digital economy. We are earning $1.4 million in export earnings from the ICT sector.

The state minister said, so far 82 investors have been given opportunities. Two of these are development companies. They have invested a total of 570 crore rupees. Tax waivers and special incentives for exporting products abroad are being provided to attract investors here.

Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority General Manager Bikarna Kumar Ghosh presided over the opening ceremony, BTRC Vice Chairman Subrata Roy, Felicity IDC CEO Sharful Alam, Technocity CEO Mohammad Mojahidul Islam, Bangladesh Bank General Manager and various bank officials and investors were present among others.
