Chittagong Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (CVASU) celebrated 'World Food Day-2023' through various programmes. On the occasion of World Food Day-2023, 3 meritorious students received Dean's Award in CVASU on Monday morning.
These programs are organized under the initiative of the Faculty of Food Science and Technology of the University. The program included rally, opening of food stalls, discussion meeting and Dean's Award ceremony.
CVASU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. ASM Lutful Ahsan led the procession taken out on the campus. University teachers-students and officers-employees participated in the procession. CVASU Vice-Chancellor inaugurated the food stall after the procession. After that, World Food Day discussion meeting and Dean's Award ceremony was held at CVASU Auditorium.
Dean of the Faculty of Food Science and Technology Professor Dr. Md. Ashraf Ali Biswas presided over the meeting. Bangladesh Council of Science and Industrial Research (BCSIR), Dhaka Chairman Prof. Dr. Md. Aftab Ali Sheikh joined the discussion meeting as the chief guest.
University Treasurer Prof. Dr. Md. Kamal, Dean of Fisheries Faculty Prof. Dr. Mohammad Nurul Abshar Khan, Dean of Veterinary Medicine Faculty Prof. Dr. Mohammad Lutfur Rahman and Moscow Bakers Managing Director MUB Faisal were present as special guests.
Later three meritorious students of the ninth batch (Session 2017-2018) of the Faculty of Food Science and Technology were awarded for achieving meritorious results. The Deans Awardees were – Fariha Tasnim Kulsoom (1st), Afia Nawar (2nd) and Momo Das (3rd).
