Hakimpur upazila administration sealed three rice godowns in Dinajpur district on Wednesday afternoon.
A team led by Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Amit Roy and Upazila Food Control Officer Md Sohel Ahmed conducted a drive at Hili land port’s rice godown and sealed three of them.
According to police source, those godowns have been sealed for illegally storing rice and pulses after the storage period has expired.
These warehouses have 271 metric tonnes of rice, 47 metric tonnes of lentils and about 2000 metric tonnes of rice.
Hakimpur UNO Amit Roy and controller of food Md Sohel Ahmed confirmed the incident and said that a regular case has been lodged against them.
