3-member committee to preserve ‘Parir Pahar’

The Archeology Department has formed a three-member committee to declare the Chattogram city’s Parir Pahar (Court Building) as a preserved antiquities.

This information was given in a circular signed by the Director General (Additional Responsibility) of the Department of Archeology of the Ministry of Culture Md Ataur Rahman on Tuesday.

 It was said in the notification that a committee was formed with three officers to inspect the Parir Pahar next Saturday and give their opinion in order to verify the possibility of announcing Parir Pahar in Chattogram, as preserved antiquities through gazette.

Deputy Director of the Department of Archeology Md. Amiruzzaman has been made the convener, Regional Director AKM Saifur Rahman made a member and Assistant Architect Khandaker Mahfuz Alam made a member secretary of the committee.
