At least three people were killed in a road accident on Khulna-Mongla Highway at Rampal upazila of Bagerhat on Thursday morning.
Two of the deceased were identified as Sohag, 35, of Chila Gaibboniya village of Mongla upazila in Begerhat, and Sanjit Mondal, 50, of Makhradon of the upazila. Police were trying to know the identity of the another victim.
Bacchu Mia of Bagerhat's Katakhali Highway Police Station said that a Mahindra hit a speedy truck in the morning, leaving the three dead on the spot. Two other people were injured and they were taken to Khulna Medical College Hospital.
Police recovered the bodies and sent to Bagerhat Sadar Hospital for autopsy.
