Police arrested three people with 60kg of cannabis at Adamdighi in Bogura on Saturday. A jeep used for transporting cannabis was also seized.
A jeep carrying cannabis from Narayanganj was going to Badalgachhi in Naogaon on a tip-off. When the jeep arrived at 11.45 pm, they were challenged and searched and the cannabis was found.
The arrested persons are: 1. Alamgir (28), police station: Phulbari, district: Kurigram 2. Md. Abdur Rahim (30), police station: Kalihati, district: Tangail 3. Mo Ripon (52), Thana: Banaripara, District: Barisal.
Bogura ASP Sanatan Chakraborty said legal action was being taken in this regard.
