Three fresh Covid-19 cases were diagnosed after testing 18 new samples at the 16.67 percent positivity rate in Rangpur division on Thursday.
Health officials said the Covid-19 pandemic situation is showing an improving trend during the past few weeks across the division.
"With the diagnosis of the three fresh cases, the total number of Covid-19 patients rose to 64,887 in the division," Divisional Director (Health) Dr. Abu Md. Zakirul Islam said on Friday.
The total number of recovered Covid-19 patients remained steady at 63,106 as no more patients healed during the last 24 hours ending at 8 am on Friday.
The number of casualties also remained steady at 1,289 as no new death was reported during the period.
Meanwhile, more 12,335 doses of Covid-19 jabs were administered on Thursday raising the number of inoculated vaccines to three crore 10 lakh 40 thousand and 352 doses in the division."Among the total administered Covid-19 jabs, 1,36,11,063 doses were inoculated as the first doses, 1,30,22,872 as the second doses and 44,06,417 as the booster doses," Dr. Islam added.
