Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested three alleged drug peddlers with 32.4 kilograms of ganja from Natore district on Friday morning.
The arrested were identified as Sohel Rana, 19, son of Shahidul Islam, Shah Alam, 31, son of Abdus Sobhan, and Alamin Hossain, 19, son of Dulal Hossain. All of them were the residents of Goddimary village under Hatibandha upazila in Lalmonirhat district.
On a tip-off, a team of the elite force conducted a raid in a Rajshahi- bound ambulance from Natore at its Haguria outskirt and arrested them while they were trying to flee after getting down the ambulance at about 5am, RAB sources said this morning.
The ambulance was also seized and a case was filed in this connection, the sources added. Later, the arrested persons along with the seized goods were handed over to the police.
