3-day science fair, science Olympiad begins

A 3-day long Science Fair and Science Olympiad of National Science and Technology Week starts on the premises of Deputy Commissioner Office in Chuadanga town on October 26. 

The fair was inaugurated by Solaiman Hoque Joarder Selun, MP of Chuadanga-1 constituency, as the chief guest. The inaugural session was presided over by Md. Nazrul Islam Sarker, Deputy Commissioner. Jahidul Islam, Superintendent of Police, Obaidur Rahman Chowdhuri Jipu, Mayor of Chuadanga Poura­sabha, Monira Parvin, ADM, Mohammed Yeah Yea Khan, ADC (general), Rejaul Karim, Vice Principal of Chuadanga Adarsha Mohila College and Siddiqur Rahman, Former Principal of Chuadanga Government College addressed as special guests at the session. 

Selun said, once upon a time farmers produced 7/8 maunds of paddy per bigha in the areas whereas now a days they have been producing 40 maunds paddy the same bigha by the contribution of modern science. 

He also stated that agriculturists and scientists of agriculture have achieved a massive success in the field of agriculture. So he urged upon the little scientists to invent something new for the nation. 

About 27 schools and colleges took part at the fair. Visitors are visiting at the fair to maintain health rules.
