A three-day ‘Jute fair’ featuring diverse jute products kicks off in the on Thursday in city aiming to restore lost glory of the golden fiber, reports BSS.
The fair took place on the premises of the ‘Khela Ghor Hall’ of Dhaka Officers Club here, an official handout said. Textiles and Jute Minister Golam Dastagir Gazi formally inaugurated the fair at 3pm. Jute Diversification Promotion Center (JDPC) under the Ministry of Textiles and Jute, is organizing the fair aiming to create awareness among people and promote diverse jute products to protect environment from further pollution. Various diverse jute products will be displayed and sold in the fair.
