3 children fall into river from bridge, one rescued

Three children were thrown away into the river from an easy-bike from over a bridge at the Bhanga-bridge of Gomnati-Ambari road at Domar of Nilphamari on Friday noon. 

By jumping into the water, however, a passenger of the vehicle rescued one child whereas the other two remain missing.  Fire Service divers were trying to rescue the missing the children. 

Locals and fire service personnel informed, one Raoshanarrea Begum wife of Mobibar Rahman was returning with her grandchildren through an easy bike to Jorabari village from Gomnati area. 

On the way, one of the rear wheels of the easy bike slanted on the broken parts of the bridge when three children on the easy bike were thrown into the water of the river. 

Grandma Raushan are jumped into the river and rescued one of the grandchildren Monawar but the other two children remained missing. 

Farhad Hossain, Incharge of Domar Fire Service Department informed, fire service personnel were trying to rescue two missing children but due to strong current in the river, the rescue operation is facing drawback.  

Mostafizur Rahman, Officer-in-charge of Domar police station confirmed the incident.
