3 bodies found on Cox’s Bazar beach

Three bodies have been found in just two days on the sea beach in Cox's Bazar. The body of a youth was found floating on the beach in Cox's Bazar on Saturday. Locals found the body floating at Nazirartek Point on the beach in the afternoon.

The deceased has been identified as Avro. His friend Arafat Al Saadi confirmed the matter to media.

On the other hand, two more bodies were found floating at Seagull Point on the beach on Friday afternoon. One of them was identified as Mohammad Emon, 18, son of Abul Kalam of Chandrima area of Kalatali. The other deceased is Nafik Oishik, son of Asaduzzaman, resident of Kotwali police station area of Jessore.

Arafat Al Saadi also said that some friends including Nafik Oishiq and Avro came to visit Cox's Bazar on September 14.

A worker at the beach, Mahbubur Rahman, who was on duty at the beach, said that the body was recovered and sent to the morgue of Cox's Bazar Sadar Hospital. Beach workers handed over the rescued 4 friends of Ishik and Avro to the police.

Cox's Bazar Sadar Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Sheikh Munirul Gias confirmed it to media and said that the police had taken the four into custody for questioning on Saturday afternoon.

He said that since the bodies of the two were found on Friday, how they went to sea on Saturday, they were taken to police custody for further investigation.
