Kushtia police on Saturday arrested three perpetrators over the demolition of revolutionary freedom fighter Bagha Jatin’s statue at Kaya village in Kumarkhali upazila, reports BSS.
The detainees are Anisur Rahman Anis, 35, Sobuj, 20, and Hridoi, 20.
The statue of the revolutionary freedom fighter Bagha Jatin was demolished on Thursday night.
On information, Kushtia police in this morning held Anisur Rahman, the key suspect, from Kaya Union. According to his confessional statement, police later arrested Sobuj and Hridoi.
Police Super of Kushtia SM Tanvir said they are on the way to hunt another perpetrator namely Bachchu.
