Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested three absconded accused of a murder case from Chapainawabganj sadar upazila early Saturday.
The arrested were identified as Md. Babu, 21, son of Md. Khairul Islam, Md. Akash, 26, son of Md. Fazlur Rahman and Md. Rubel Ali, 26, son of late Manik of Sherpur Bhandar village under Shibganj upazila of Chapainawabganj district.
Acting on detective information, an operation team of the RAB-5 from Chapainawabganj camp conducted a raid in Mohananda Toll Plaza area in the upazila around 12.15 am and nabbed the trio as they were trying to flee away by a bus, RAB
sources said.
On June 7, 2023, Md. Sihab Ali, 17, a student of class nine was killed following a trifling matter of overtaking a bicycle and since then the accused persons of the murder remained absconding, the sources added.
Later, the elite force handed them over to the police of Shibganj thana, thesources further added.
