Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) seized 28 kgs of Indian silver from Gazipara area of Goga border in Sharsha upazila of Jashore early morning on Friday.
21 BGB Battalion Commander Lieutenant Colonel Manzur-E-Elahi said on a tip-off, BGB members knew a large consignment of silver from India had entered Bangladesh through the Gazipara field on the Goga border. They raided the area and seized 28 kgs of silver on Friday early in the morning. Sensing presence of BGB smugglers fled from the spot.
Sharsha thana officer in charge (OC) Badrul Alom Khan said, a case was filed in this connection.
