The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) in different operations in 24 hours till 6:00 am on Monday (November 27) arrested 19 persons for their alleged involvement in selling and consuming drugs.
Being informed, the DMP’s police and detective units conducted the anti-drug campaign in the city’s various areas, seizing drugs and arresting drug sellers and abusers, said a DMP statement.
They seized 6,160 pieces of Yaba tablets during the drives.
They also seized 17.95kg of hemp, 200gm of heroin, 29 bottles of foreign wine, 7 bottles of Beer, 30 liters of local wine, and 102 bottles of phensedyl from their possessions, according to the statement.
According to the statement, 19 cases were filed against the detained persons under the Narcotics Control Act.
