Wall Vision Bangladesh in collaboration with Implementation of Jamalpur Development Association, distributed blankets and buckets among 2500 poor and needy people under the Area Programme (AP) at Hazrat Shahjalal (RA) High School grounds in Pathalia city in Jamalpur on Thursday.
Jamalpur Sadar UNO Mehnaz Ferdous inaugurated the programme.
During the distribution of blankets, Ward Vision Senior Manager (ACO) Sebastian Purification, Executive Director Md Rafiqul Alam Mollah, Consultant Pratyay, Assistant Director Program Murshed Iqbal, Hazrat Shahjamal (RA) School and College Principal Asaduzzaman, Jamalpur AP Area and Manager Sagar de Costa, Development Association Area Program Manager Minara, were present, among others.
Meanwhile, blankets and buckets were distributed among 2 thousand 540 poor families of Lakshirchar, Sharifpur and 4 wards of Jamalpur Sadar Upazila.
UNO Mehnaz Ferdous thanked the Development Association and World Vision authorities for distributing blankets to people. She called upon the affluent society and other organisations to identify the real cold-hit people and distribute warm clothes.

The blankets were distributed to the cold hit people of the district town and its surrounding areas this afternoon as part of the corporate social responsibility.
Manager of the bank Abdullah A-Mamun and officer Md. Kamruzzaman formally distributed the warm clothes to the distressed people at a function at the premises of the bank here as guests on behalf of the bank.
After receiving the blankets, the beneficiary people thanked the bank officials for standing beside of them with warm clothes in a bid mitigate their sufferings caused by cold wave sweeping over the district during the winter season.
A good number of invited clients of the bank, town elite were present on the occasion.
