A total of 26 patients have died with corona symptoms at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) since the launch of the corona unit on Saturday. Four of the deceased were tested Covid-19 positive.
At present the unit has some 90 patients on the other hand nine people have already recovered from the disease. In addition to infected patients, there are many with corona symptoms.
Director of DMCH Brigadier General AKM Nasir Uddin said a total of 19 people died from Saturday to Monday afternoon. Two of them were corona positive.
Hospital sources said, “26 people died. Four of them were corona positive.”
According to sources, a total of 4 people, including two women and two men, have died in the Corona Unit (Burn Unit). They are Khorsheda Begum (50), Mostafa Ali (50), Rauman Ali (60) and Sufia Begum (55). 20 others died at the hospital with COVID-19 symptoms.
The deceased have been identified as ARM Sajedul Islam, Fazlul Karim, Shafiuddin, Monir, Yunus Ali, Yusuf Ali, Bilkis Begum, Bilkis, Rafiqul Islam, Mizanur Rahman and Nazim Uddin. Tota Mia, Shahabuddin, Mannan, Siam (baby), Shiuli, Saidur Rahman, Isaac, Titu Mia and Sakhina Begum.
