Members of a social organization called 'Humanitarian Expatriate Welfare Society' of Konikara village in Shibipur Union of the upazila provided Iftar items to more than 250 families who lost their jobs due to the outbreak of coronavirus at Nabinagar upazila in Brahmanbaria,
As per the government instructions, the Iftar items were distributed among the unemployed and helpless families of the village on the premises of Konikara High School on Friday through the society members ensuring social distance.
Shariful Islam, President of the society said, "People are now jobless as everyone is locked in their homes as per the government instructions, so we tried to stand by these helpless peopl”.
