23rd National Art Exhibition ends

The curtain falls on the 23rd edition of ‘National Art Exhibition’ yesterday at the National Art Gallery of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) in Segun Bagicha of the capital.

The closing ceremony of the month-long exhibition, followed by a discussion, was held at 6pm at the National Art Plaza auditorium of BSA.

BSA has been organising the Art Biennale since 1975 to bring together artists belonging to different age groups working in different mediums and techniques.

This year, the exhibition features 322 artworks by 310 promising artists of the country; among those 159 paintings, 45 sculptures, 50 printmaking works, 17 crafts, 8 potteries, 37 installations and video installations and seven performance arts are put on display.
