23 surrendered extremists get PM’s grant

As many as 23 extremists in Natore who returned to normal life surrendering their arms received the Prime Minister's assistance.  Each of them received a cheque a Tk 50 at a programme  the district police line’s on Tuesday.

State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak attended the function as the chief guest while Natore Sadar lawmaker Shafiqul Islam Shimul, Deputy Commissioner Md Shahriaz and National Security Intelligence Rajshahi division chief Zahir Uddin, among others, were present.

Natore Superintendent of Police Liton Kumar Saha presided over the programme. These extremists laid down their arms at an open ceremony at the district April last year.
