23 organizations win Supply Chain Excellence Award

IPDC Finance Limited, the first private financial institution of Bangladesh established in 1981, recently has organized Bangladesh Supply Chain Excellence Awards (BSCEA) 2019 in association with Bangladesh Supply Chain Management Society (BSCMS). 

The award ceremony was held at the International Convention City Bashundhara in the capital on Thursday night.

Tipu Munshi, MP, Minister for Commerce Ministry was the Chief Guest in ‘Bangladesh Supply Chain Excellence Awards 2019’ while former President of the Bangladesh Freight Forwarders Association and Managing Director of Expo Freight Limited Mahbubul Anam was present as special guest. 

As a guest of honour Kedar Lele, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Managing Director (MD) of Unilever Bangladesh was present, IPDC Finance Limited’s MD and CEO Mominul Islam, Deputy Managing Director Rizwan Dawood Shams and IPDC’s high officials along with Nestle Bangladesh’ Director of Corporate Affairs and BSCMS’s President, Nakib Khan; International Supply Chain Education Alliance’s Asian CEO, Ezazur Rahman were also present on the occasion. 

Kakan Chandra Dey from Berger as individual; Nestlé Bangladesh Limited as a multinational company; Color City as a Local Organization has been awarded 'Excellence in Supply Chain Planning Process' category at BSCEA 2019. Omera Petroliam and Remi Holdings Limited as a local company has been awarded in ‘Excellence in Supply Chain Sustaibility’ category. 

In the 'Excellence in Supply Chain Enabler' Category, as a Multinational Organization Nestlé Bangladesh Limited; Aarong has been awarded in special category and Bkash in regular category as a local organization.

In the 'Excellence in Supply Chain Collaboration and Partnering' category, Square Pharma as a local organization; Md. Abdul Barak of Nestle Bangladesh Limited on a personal level and Unilever have been awarded as a multinational organization.

In the 'Excellence in Supply Chain Talent Development' category, British American Tobacco has been awarded as a Multinational Organization In the 'Excellence in Manufacturing Excellence' category Tarasima Apparels Ltd. as a local organization and as a Multinational Organization British American Tobacco has been awarded.

In the 'Excellence in Supply Chain Finance Management' category, Images Groups have been awarded as local organizations and Marico as a multinational organization.

"It feels good to such collaborations from corporates, who beyond their daily functions also try to bring such excellent cases in Supply Chain Management that have not been heard or appreciated before in Bangladesh’’, he added. 

Mominul Islam, Managing Director and CEO, IPDC Finance Limitedsaid, “IPDC strongly believes in the importance of collaboration to influence the activity, experience and resource of an organization. That’s why we’ve collaborated with BSCMS to recognize the best practices in Supply Chain Management through Bangladesh Supply Chain Excellence Awards 2019.”
