22 teenage gang members held with yaba, ganja in capital


Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) detained 22 teenage boys along with contra banned yaba and ganja conducting overnight drives in city’s Mugda area on Monday night. During the drive, the RAB personnel nabbed 22 alleged members of 4 teenage gangs along with 25 pieces of yaba tablets and 1-kg ganja conducting drive at Manda Bridge and Hiru Mia goli areas of Mugda. The teenagers believed to be between 10 to 18 years old were allegedly involved in crimes including drug addiction, eve teasing and terrorism, RAB officials said. Later, three teenagers were sent to Juvenile Correction Center in Gazipur with giving conviction by court as the rest of the arrestees were sent to the Central Jail on different charges.
