Chittagong University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (CVASU) has awarded Dean's Award to the best 21 students of the Faculty of Food Science and Technology.
The Dean’s Award was presented to the students at a ceremony held at the Sivasu Auditorium on Monday morning. Addressing the Dean’s Award recipients, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Gautam Buddha Das said that through research and hands-on training, students need to be developed as entrepreneurs who can contribute to the production and supply of safe food. A food processing plant will be set up at the initiative of this university. Dean Prof. Dr. Jannatara Khatun presided over the function and Dr. Zakia Sultana Juthi, Associate Professor, Department of Food Processing and Engineering delivered the welcome address.
Special guests were Prof. Dr. M. Nurul Abshar Khan, Dean, Faculty of Fisheries and Prof. Dr. Abdul Ahad, Dean, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.
