More 21,067 children aged 5-11 years were vaccinated with the first doses of Covid-19 jabs in all eight districts of Rangpur division on Monday.
“So far, a total of 18,54,542 students aged 5-11 years of 5,546 primary level educational institutions have been administered with the first doses of Covid-19 jabs in the division,” Acting Divisional Director (Health) Dr Habibur Rahman said on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, the number of administered Covid-19 jabs rose to three crore 48 lakh 57 thousand and 983 with the inoculation of a total of 24,590 doses of the jabs as the first, second and booster doses on Monday.
“Till Monday, a total of 1,55,38,491 people got the first doses of Covid-19 jabs, and of them, 1,33,26,529 got the second doses and 59,92,963 as the booster doses,” Dr Rahman said.
The number of Covid-19 patients remained steady at 64,948 as no fresh Covid-19 cases were diagnosed after testing 20 new samples on Monday in the division.
The number of recovered Covid-19 patients remained steady at 63,641 as no more patients healed during the last 24 hours ending at 8 am on Tuesday.
“Besides, the number of casualties also remained steady at 1,293 as no new death was reported from the division during the last 24 hours,” Dr Rahman added.
