200 tonnes of liquid oxygen imported from India by rail

200 metric tones of liquid oxygen has imported from India by rail through Benapole port on Friday night.

The special Oxygen Express train reached the Benapole railway station of Benapole port via Petrapol port in India. C&F Agent Sarathi Enterprise has submitted the required documents to the Customs House on Saturday noon to deliver the Consignment.

Linde Bangladesh Ltd. imports 200 tons of liquid oxygen. Linde India Ltd. an Indian exporter. So far 2,618 metric tons of liquid oxygen has been imported from India in 13 consignments. After the formalities at the port and customs, the Oxygen Express will reach the west side of Bangabandhu Bridge in Sirajgong. 

From there, these oxygen tankers will be supplied to various hospitals and clinics from there. Benapole railway station master Saidur Rahman said,Oxygen import by rail started from last 24th July. The last time 200 metric tons of oxygen was imported on Friday night. So far, Linde Bangladesh Ltd has imported 2,618 metric tons of oxygen in 13 consignments.

Benapole Customs House Commissioner Md. Azizur Rahman said, Oxygen Express train is waiting at the railway station after importing 200 tons of liquid oxygen from India last night.
