There was a clash between two villagers in Nasirnagar and Habiganj's Lakhai Upazilas of Brahmanbaria. At least 20 people from both sides including 4 policemen were injured.
On Tuesday evening, a clash took place between two parties in Fandauk of Nasirnagar and Murakuri village of Lakhai upazila. Later, the police brought lathi charge and tear shells under control.
Eyewitnesses said that the Baisakhi fair is going on in Fandauk village of Nasirnagar in Brahmanbaria. People from different areas come to the fair.
On Tuesday afternoon at the fair, a young man from Mukhari village of Lakhai upazila of neighboring district Habiganj had an argument with a young man from Fandauk village. At this time the matter was settled immediately. Later in the evening the two sides clashed with indigenous weapons in a local field. At this time, massive brickbats were thrown.
Officer in charge of Nasirnagar Police Station. Sohag Rana said that this clash happened due to a trivial incident. Immediately the police reached the spot and brought the situation under control. At present the situation is normal. Additional police are deployed at the scene.
