Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy on Monday announced ‘Shilpakala Padak 2021 and 2022’ for special contribution in the field of art and culture.
A total of 20 individuals and organizations are receiving ‘Shilpkala Padak 2021 and 2022’. Among them, 10 artists and organizations are receiving ‘Shilpkala Padak 2021’ while 10 individuals are getting ‘Shilpkala Padak 2022’.
Shilpkala Padak 2021 will be given to Md. Nuruzzaman in instrumental music, Sharmin Hossain in dance, Sadi Mohammad in music, artist Biren Som in fine arts, Prof. Abdus Salim in drama, Md. Nahir Uddin in folk culture, Dr. Matin Rahman in flim, Kazi Medina in recitation, M.A Majid in Jatra. A. Majid and the National Rabindra Sangeet Sammilan Parishad as a creative cultural organization.
Shilpkala Padak 2022 will be given to Fawad Nasser in Instrumental Music, Saju Ahmed in Dance, Elen Mallik in Vocal Music, Professor Alak Roy in Fine Arts, Khairul Alam Sabuj in Drama, Sunil Karmakar in Folk Culture, Rafiqul Islam in Photography, Mir Barkte Rahman in Recitation, Aruna Biswas in Jatra and Dr. Safiuddin Ahmed as creative cultural researcher.
It is to be noted that the ‘Shilpkala Padak 2021 and 2022’ awarding ceremony will be organized very soon subject to the President’s permission and date determination. Each of the awardees will receive a gold medal, a certificate and a check of Tk 1 lakh.
