A 20-bed quarantine center has been inaugurated at Chitalmari upazila in Bagerhat district for the patients infected with Covid-19.
Chitalmari Upazila Parishad Chairman Ashok Kumar Baral and UNOMdLiton Ali jointly inaugurated the specialized quarantine center at Chitalmari Government SM Model High School on Sunday at 2pm.
Chitalmari Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Mamun Hasan, Government SM Model High School's Headmaster Ramendranath Mallick, Upazila Project Implementation Officer (PIO) Apurba Das, Sadar UP Chairman Sheikh Nizam Uddin, Chitalmari Upazila Press Club President Pradeep Mandal and General Secretary Tawhidur Rahman Babu among others were present on the occasion.
In this regard, Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Mamun Hasan said, the quarantine center with oxygen cylinder in each bed has been set up with the overall advice and cooperation of Sheikh Helal Uddin, Member of Parliament for Bagerhat-1 constituency.
Apart from the infrastructure, all kinds of preparations have been completed for setting up of Central Oxygen System at Chitalmari Upazila Health Complex, construction of Semi ICU Center and setting up of special Corona Unit with necessary equipment for corona treatment.
