The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has appointed Nafisa Sadaf Achol and Tanjim Tabassum Islam as its ‘Ambassador on Skills’ in Bangladesh for their milestone achievement in ‘WorldSkills Competition 2019’ in Kazan, Russia, report agencies.

Manmohan Prakash, country director of ADB, announced the appointment of the two skills constants at a recent workshop on ‘Kazan Follow up: World Skills Competition and Skills Development in Bangladesh’ at the National Skills Development Authority (NSDA) in the city, said a NSDA press release today.

They earlier became champions at the ‘Rising Star Competition’ by attending the global competition on skills last month.

Manmohan Prakash appointed the ambassadors in a bid to encourage the youths of the country in raising their skills to explore the growing global need for better employment and higher income generation.

He also appreciated the government and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for undertaking extensive efforts for skills development through NSDA.
