Two men were injured in a miscreant attack as they protested against the harassment of their niece in Keshabpur upazila of Jashore on Wednesday.
According to police sources, a 19-year-old Alim 1st year student of Komarpol Fazil Madrasa, daughter of Kamruzzaman of Notun Mulgram of the upazila was being harrassed by Abu Taher, son of Atiyar Rahman and Abul Khair, son of Fazlur Rahman of Komarpol village for a long time.
The student being helpless reported the incident to her family so, her uncles asked Abu Taher and Abul Khair to refrain from harassing the girl.
Enraged by the incident, a group of people led by Abu Taher and Abul Khair attacked and injured the girl's uncles Waheduzzaman, an assistant teacher of Keshabpur Pilot Girls' School and Badruzzaman, an assistant teacher of Mirzanagar Government Primary School. Upon receiving the news, the locals rescued the injured and admitted them to the hospital. The girl's father Kamruzzaman has lodged a complaint.
