Two more extortion cases have been filed against Narayanganj City Corporation (NCC) councilor Abdul Karim Babu on Sunday with Fatulla model police station.
Satellite cable trader Md. Moktar Hossain and Md. Kusum separately filed the extortion cases against Councilor of Ward No-17 Abdul Karim Babu alias Dish Babu and nine others.
Both the petitioner mentioned their FIR that Babu demanded ten lakh taka as extortion at a time to pay him and eighty thousands taka to pay in every month.
Abdul Karim Babu is now in jail after arrested by detective police in another extortion case with Bandar police by Kawsar Ahmed.
The other accused are Ripon, Sentu, Rezaul Karim, Chunnu molla, Momin, Jewel, Raju and Jahangir.
The case investigator sub-inspector Amjad Hossain said that they are trying to arrest all the accused.
