A man and his son who were riding a motorcycle were killed in a road accident in Khulna on Friday (January 15). The accident took place when a truck hit the motorcycle on Khulna-Satkhira highway at Zero Point area in the district in the morning.
Enamul Haque, officer-in-charge (OC) of Harintana Police Station, confirmed the matter. He said that police recovered the bodies and sent these to the hospital for autopsy. Quoting eyewitnesses, the OC said that the two men were killed on the spot when a truck heading to Satkhira from Khulna hit the motorcycle from behind at Zero Point area. The driver fled away the scene with the truck. Locals said that the deceased are father and son.
