Two persons were killed and one injured in two separate road accident in Chuadanga sadar upazila of Chuadanga district on August 17.
The deceased were identified as Hasnat Kabir Dipu, 35, of village Hengerpara in Harinakundu upazila of Jheniedah district and Mofizuddin, 40, driver of Alamsadhu and inhabitant of village Nabinagar in Chuadanga Sadar upazila of Chuadanga district. Ikramul Hoque of village Shibnagar in Sadar Upazila of Chuadanga district is being treated in Chuadanga Sadar Hospital as being injured.
In first accident, Hasnat Kabir Dipu was returning home from Chuadanga to his house on the day riding motor cycle while a passenger bus from Jheniedah hit the motor cycle at Chhaymayel on Chuadanga-Jheniadah road in sadar upazila leaving the motorcyclist Dipu injured.
The injured was sent to Chuadanga Sadar Hospital but on duty doctor declared him dead.
Another accident was held at Bodorgonj area on Chuadanga-Jheniadah road in sadar upazila of the district on the day.
Ekramul Hoque, alamsadhu driver, lost the control of alamsadhu and hit with road side tree leaving the driver and his passenger injured. Locals sent them to Chuadanga Sadar Hospital where on duty medical officer declared dead of driver Ekramul.
Mahbubur Rahman Kazol, OC of Chuadanga Police Station said, the passenger bus has been seized from the incident place. Driver of the bus has managed to escape from the scene.
