Two teenagers died when the motorbike on which they were moving in a high speed hit the road divider near the Meherchandi flyover under Motihar police station of Rajshahi Metropolitan area Saturday evening. Both the deceased were students of class X of local Kharkhari High School.
The dead were identified as Nahian Hasan(17) son of Azizur Rahman of Chalkpara area under RMP and Piasur Rahman Pias(17) son of Piarul Islam of Meherchandi area under Motihar PS.
According to eye-witness sources, two young men riding on a motorbike were moving through the flyover towards the Octroi crossing from Meherchandi.
The bikers were running the vehicle downward through the flyover at a high speed when it hit the road divider throwing the young riders on the road.
Local people rescued them and took them to the Emergency Section of Rajshahi Medical College Hospital where the attending doctor declared them dead.
Abdul Malek, Officer-in-Charge of Motihar police station informed two juveniles were injured when their motorbikes hit with the road divider. Tey were rushed to the hospital where the attending doctor declared them dead. The dead bodies were handed over to the family members after completing the legal procedures.
