2 killed, 4 injured in Jashore road accident

Two people were killed and four others were injured on Jashore-Bagharpara road accident. The incident took place at Gaidghat Cold Storage in Bagharpara Upazila at around 4:00 pm on Friday.

The deceased were identified as Ful Banu Begum,65, wife of the late Mujibar Sikdar of Gaidghat Ghoppara of Bagharpara in Jashore and Al-Amin, 27, son of Abdul Latif of Horishpur Deadanga in Shalikha of Magura district. At least four workers were injured in the backseat of the truck. 

The injured were Mehedi Hasan, 22, son of Ijaz Biswas of Harispur Deadanga, Ali Hamza, 29, son of Noor Ali of the same village, Masum Billah, 22, of Kubad Ali, and Limon Hossain, 20, of Asken Mollah.

According to the witnesses, a bricks carrying  truck Jashore -TA 11-5316 which left from Jashore, was crushed a intellectually disabled woman pedestrian, Ful Banu Begum she died on the spot. Al-Amin, the driver of the truck, died when the truck lost control and hit a tree along the road.

Meanwhile, the local Khajura police outpost  in-charge SI Jumman Khan reached the spot and recovered the bodies and sent to Jashore General Hospital. Later, Bagharpara police informed the police and the fire service.  The body was handed over to the victim's family without autopsy. A case was filed in this connection. The kiler truck is currently in police custody SI added.
