2 Indians detained in Chuadanga

BGB members of Jibannagar Border Outpost (BOP), Battalion-58, detained two Indian citizens with smuggled goods from Shapla Paribahan bus at Jibannagar upazila in Chuadanga on Tuesday afternoon.

The detainees are identified as Sumon Sarker, son of Poresh Sarker of Panikhali village under Dhantola Thana and Alok Biswas, son of Chitto Biswas of Badkulha village under Taherpur Thana of Nodia district of India.

It is learnt from a press release signed by Assistant Director of BGB-58 Najrul Islam Khan that on information a team of BGB stopped a bus of Shapla Paribahan and detained two Indian citizens with 5 bottles of wine, a chain of gold, 301 Indian Rupee, BD cash Tk. 13,945 and 2 mobile sets. Later, theydetainees were handed over to Jibannagar police with seized goods.  A case was filed in this regard with the police station.
