Two Indian nationals were handed over to BSF at Darshana Immigration Check Post in Damurhuda Upazila of Chuadanga district through a flag meeting on Thursday.
The handed over persons are identified as Pran Krishna Das and his mother Kazoli Das of village Mathuranagar in 24 Pargona district of West Bangle in India.
According to sources, on September 23, 2023 they were entered in to Bangladesh through Patkhali border of Jashore district and arrived at Sandip of Chottogram for marriage of Pran Krishna.
Accordingly he got married with the girl at the area and stayed there 15 days. On October 7, 2023 they were returning home from Chottogram while they reached at Moheshpur border area of Jhenaidah, BGB men detained them due to not producing passports and other documents. As a result they were sent to jail through Police.
About 4 months 21 days after imprisonment they were released from jail. A flag meeting was held between BGB and BSF members for handing over them.
