2 India returnees detected with Covid-19

Covid-19 (corona virus) has been detected in the bodies of two people in Benapole of Jashore who recently returned from India. The matter was confirmed by the Civil Surgeon's Office on Sunday.

While staying in the institutional quarantine in Jashore, they contracted corona. One of them is 20 years old and the other is 45 years old.

They have been admitted to the Corona Dedicated Unit of Jashore General Hospital. Dr. Rehnewaz Rony, medical officer at the Civil Surgeon's Office said, those two men came to Bangladesh from India through Benapole land port on May 15. Later, they were kept in quarantine for 14 days at Gazi Dargah Madrasa in Jhikargachha upazila of Jashore. 

On Satyurday, samples were collected from 49 people staying in the institutional quarantine, including those two persons. The results of the PCR test of those two obtained on Sunday came positive. That is why they have been admitted to the Corona Dedicated Unit of Jashore General Hospital.

According to the health department, corona virus has been detected in the bodies of 13 people staying in the institutional quarantine from April 26 to May 30. 5 people were identified with Indian variant of the virus.
