Detective Branch (DB) of Police detained two persons along with 89 Indian cell phone sets worth Tk. 12 lakh from Vadughar area in Brahmanbaria on Tuesday afternoon.
The detainees are Imran Hossain, 32, son of Idon Miah of Kalikapur in Akhaura Upazila and Atikul Islam Payel, 20, son of Khokon Miah of Birchondropur of the same Upazila.
Inspector of DB police Ziaul Haque said that on secret information, they detained the two from Vadughar bus terminal area. The cell phones were smuggled without paying revenue, he added.
