Police in separate raids detained two criminals along with firearms and sharp weapons in different areas of Fatulla model police station in Narayanganj on Monday night.
Sub-inspector of Fatulla police station Mizanur Rahman led one of the raids. He said that they recovered a foreign made pistol and two round bullets from under a sand pile at west Deobhog area just north side of Quality Textile Mill.
Four days ago, police arrested an accused of a murder case named Ridoy alias chukka Ridoy, 22, son of Yusub Mia of Barishal who now lives in Deobhog area. He is peddling drug, and committing anarchy in the society.
Accused Ridoy was on two days police remand and according to his statement police conducted raid on Monday night at about 11.40 pm and recovered firearms and ammunition.
Sub-inspector of Fatulla police station Abdul Karim led another raid and the team arrested Ismail 17, son of Shajahan Mia of Adarshanagar of Deobhog. Police also recovered twelve long sharp weapons from his possession.
Police said that arrested Ismail is a criminal of Kishor gang and he is causing terrorism in the locality. Locals claim that another criminal of this gang Shakil is still at large.
Two separate criminal cases were recorded with Fatulla police station, said OC Aslam Hossain.
